God's "Water-mark".

Did you know that, in spite some of the fake claims made by some people, the Bible actually does have codes in it? It was discovered that in the original Hebrew, when they counted 49 spaces from the first letter in Genesis and again 49 spaces and again and again, that it spells the word "Torah" The same thing happens when you count 49 spaces from the beginning of the book of Exodus. The same is true for Leviticus and if you count backwards from Numbers and Deutoronomy, again you get the word "Torah".

What does this mean? It's God "water-mark" to prove HE wrote these books. They are inspired by Him.

A verse just came to mind yesterday when I was being tempted to worry about the world situation. It's a verse I've known for over 30 years and yesterday I finally understood it.

The verse is in Proverbs chapter 3, "Be not afraid of sudden fear..." there is more to it, but that was the part I could never understand. In fact, that verse used to scare me a bit because it sounded kind of ominous. I had always thought it was some kind of commandment and since I've always had temptations to fear, it naturally worried me. But now, here is how I see it: Don't be afraid that you are going to "suddenly" be afraid. That something awful is going to sneak up on you suddenly and terrify you.

"Yes, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me."

"God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND." In other words, sanity not craziness. Peace of mind, not confusion. Praise His name!

Something you can do to get yourself started in the morning is to listen to an inspiring Bible class first thing. I try to do this every day. I wake up, turn on my laptop and start listening to a Bible class. There are several good sites, but one of my favorites is the late Ray Stedman at www.raystedman.org He was a terrific expository teacher who taught the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

Did you know that the first main names mentioned in the book of Genesis, if you take their original Hebrew meanings, create a meaningful sentence? Think about it and I'll post the answer-

Methuselah was the oldest man in the Bible, but he died before his father! How is that possible? His father was Enoch. Recorded as one of the two persons in the Bible that didn't experience death before going to Heaven. The other one was Elijah.

Did you know you can download a free interactive Bible? E-sword is a terrific tool for deeply studying the Word. Once you get it downloaded, here is an interesting way to start a study when you don't know where to begin.

There is a phenomena in the Word called "First occurrance". For example, when you do a search in E-sword (or blueletterbible) type in the word you think would be interesting. I did this using the word "lamb" and I was very surprised to discover that the first time the Bible uses the word "lamb" is in Genesis:

Gen 22:7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

As you may know, Abraham offering Isaac was a type of God offering His lamb, Jesus, for the sins of the world.
